Round Top: Spring 2025 (pt. 2)

What an honor and privilege it was to go to Round Top with Perennials Fabrics. It was a mid-week field trip from Austin to Round Top.
The main event was the first ever 2024 Round Top Designer Show House. The Showhouse made its debut during the spring - as a breathtaking 3,500-square-foot custom residence that blends modern farmhouse elegance with sophisticated Texas design. Selected designers got to showcase their style and design categorized by each room. Across 2 scenic acres, the home featured unique spaces crafted by an extraordinary lineup of celebrated Texas designers. Envisioned as a new annual tradition, the project serves as a vibrant celebration of design, creativity, and local community - it was such an honor to meet the designers of each space. Each designer told their own story of how the space reflects them and their work.
To highlight a few, beginning with this incredible plaster vent hood in the kitchen. It was the star of the show, the first thing you notice when you enter the house. This was done by the talented Segreto Finishes.

The dining area runs parallel to the kitchen, featuring this stunning tablescape designed by Marcus Mohon. I was able to snag his new coffee table book. As a young designer, I am always trying to collect more books for my personal library - a piece of advice that has always stuck with me.

This guest bedroom, named ‘English Treehouse’ designed by Studio Steidley was by far my favorite. Truly breathtaking, peaceful and elegant. I spent the most time in here. I chatted with the designer and listened to her wisdom & advice as she talked in depth about her design process and decisions.

After the Showhouse, we went over to Bader Ranch where Sissy Light so kindly opened up her booth so that we could pick out our own custom hats.
This was an opprotunity of a lifetime that I will never take for granted.
